The London Blitz are delighted to announce that Pontus Bondeson has joined the senior team and will coach the Offensive Liine this season. Pontus has a very impressive background having played for Duke University for three seasons as well as for the Swedish National Team. Club Chairman Ed Morgan, commented “We are delighted to have Pontus onboard this season. His Division 1 experience will be invaluable and from what we have seen so far the Offensive Line will definitely be working hard in 2012!”
We interviewed Pontus shortly before he joined the team.

 Our club will look back on 2011 as a huge year in the history of the organisation. The Senior team continued their domination of domestic competition winning their third consecutive National title and their fourth championship in five years.
The last 12 months also saw Mark Moss's team take on European opposition for the second time in the EFAF Cup. Building on the Semi-final appearance of 2010, last year's squad marched all the way to EFAF Cup Final victory against Serbian Champions Kragujevac Wild Boars. The 29-7 win saw the Blitz on their way to the 'double' and become the first British American football side to win a European title since 1999.

Happy New Year to all future Blitz Ballers
With the start of the 2012 season only 4 months away the Blitz under 19 Team’s are now gearing up to begin pre-season training.
With all 3 teams (Junior16-19, Youth 14-16, Flag 12-15) looking for players to make an immediate impact no experience is required as all training is delivered and supervised by an outstanding coaching team.
